Word Is Bond

The ‘old heads’ (not to be confused with the Old Saints) have a saying, word is bond. I miss hearing that QueenSiS. I’m meditating this dayclean on the meaning behind that statement, on the value of promises made and kept. And of course India.Arie has a vibe to match perfectly: Promises.

Our society is changing (!) and so many things that were foundational are shifting. I think it has always been valuable to be a person of our word, but now it may be even more essential. I feel credibility and consistency are currencies that can easily outweigh cash and crypto in value. Even if things in the world fall apart around us, we will be able to build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships to recreate a better world based on our word. #WordIsBond
