About the founder of Dayclean Devotion Queen.

Meet the SiStar behind the brand, Najmah Thomas, PhD

Najmah Thomas is a daughter of the Gullah Geechee community on St. Helena Island, SC – which is to say that she is a descendant of a long line of people who were committed to maintaining African cultural traditions while helping to form a more perfect union in the United States of America. Najmah is a public policy and administration specialist by trade and training, with a BA from the College of William and Mary, and M.Ed. from the University of Phoenix, and a PhD from the L. Douglas Wilder School at Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to her role as a tenured faculty member for Human Services and African American Studies, and CEO of a social profit organization consulting firm, Najmah is thankful to be continuing the Gullah Geechee tradition of micro-farming as a partner with her family’s farm.
