Time to Speak Up

Brother Kem’s Say will probably always be on my top 21 favorite songs of all time list. It’s giving a smooth and clear meditation melody this dayclean, that sometimes I need to say what’s on my mind.

That tired, trite troupe of the ‘Angry Black Woman’ can make us weary of speaking up, but consider this QueenSiS: we don’t come to embody anger as a defining characteristic just because we choose to speak up when we few angry. And it is likely that no one else will speak up for us, so the conditions that make us feel angry will remain unchanged. Give thanks for the ability to speak up with grace and without apology on this journey! #SpeakUpSiS
