Flower Lady

Me and the April showers are meditating on flowers this dayclean QueenSiS. I have a list of dream occupations for myself, and florist is definitely on there. I see myself growing a most beautiful variety  of flowers, and preparing gorgeous bouquets and floral arrangements. It’s the flowers for sure, but mainly the giving and enjoying on the other side that I love so.

The lyrics of Skylark’s 1973 hit (covered and sampled by a long list of other artists) Wildflower don’t just bring to mind sweet and gentle flowers, they remind me that one of the reasons to give flowers to our loved ones - especially those QueenMothers  - is because so often their lived experience has not been filled with flowers: “The way she's always paying for debt she never owes.” Surely they deserve flowers from time to time, to help make their remaining path through life just a little more beautiful. #FloraSiS
