Soft and Strong

The magnificent Maysa’s Friendly Pressure is easing me into the weekend this dayclean, while I meditate on softness and strength.

In the face of the “strong black woman” troupe, and the resurgence of “weaker sex” silliness, I’m insisting on my right to the duality of femininity. I am deserving of protection and I am a warrior.
