Black Together

Consider this QueenSiS: the power of Black unity is likely the reason why our bonds are so often under attack in one way or another. We can completely change systems of oppression…when we work together.

I’m meditating deeply on Umoja (unity) this dayclean. I’m thinking about the many ways our communities and the African Diaspora have been divided then conquered in the past. I’m praying for strength and strategy, for full embodiment of the Kwanzaa principles going forward.  I know there are difficulties ahead but I still hope we take a line from the lovely Ledisi (featuring Brother Jaheim) and stay together whatever comes our way. #BlackTogether
