Oh Give Thanks

We had a lot of greats transition to the ancestral realm this year, including Brother Frankie Beverly. It seems like so much of his (and Maze’s) music was the soundtrack of our collective family gatherings for so long. As Thanksgiving approaches, I’m letting I Wanna Thank You set the tone for the day.

Beyond the material things that I’m blessed to have, I give thanks for the battles I did not have to fight, and the hard lessons I did not have to learn the hard way, because of Ancestors who paved the way, and Elders willing to share some of their life stories with me. #OhGiveThanks
