Share the Responsibility

Habari Gani QueenSiS? Ujima! I’m meditating on the Kwanzaa principle of collective work and responsibility this dayclean.

When one of our amazing podcast featured guests Jill Coleman said “we have to keep our crowns on but take our capes off” I felt like I heard an entiyah sermon. I’m giving thanks for unlearning the bad habit of shouldering all the responsibility for things that need to be done in the family, community, workplace etc. My plan is to constantly remind myself what Karyn White told us all so beautifully more than 25 years ago: I’m not your superwoman! #sharingiscaring
